Sian Phillips background brief

Careers guidance, performance coaching, confidence-life coaching, project management, NVQ assessing, and business marketing and sales.
In 2001, following many years in sales and marketing, with 15 of those years being a director of a successful business. I followed my instincts and secured a position within a local careers organisation as a Careers Adviser for the over 18’s. This coincided with the completion of my counseling qualifications; I was also part way through two coaching qualifications. Hence I had experience of one to one interactions with individuals facing change in some capacity.

The following years, up to the present time, have brought many different experiences, including training, learning, and qualifications.

I progressed quickly within the careers organisation and before long I was relied upon to deliver in outplacement situations, dealing with redundancies and career progression within local authority, organisations, charities and corporate companies. In addition, I was seconded to local Community Colleges to build relations and offer information, advice and guidance (IAG) to attendees.

This blended perfectly with the one to one sessions that I managed within Careers Guidance.

Until May 2007 I had thoroughly enjoyed the journey and had absorbed a phenomenal amount of information. But the learning curve reached a plateau and I needed to move on to keep the momentum going.

This brings me to the present date when I am able to combine very successfully my coaching and guidance skills. I enjoy the freedom of self-enterprise to continue with research, training and development in addition to accepting outplacements that challenge me at every opportunity.
